July 5, 2018

We want every one of our clients to have a smile that they are proud of. Sometimes this requires cosmetic dental procedures that a person may not be familiar with. Rest assured, we can give you that perfect smile that you have always wanted. To give you a little more information, though, we have compiled a short list of common cosmetic dental procedures, their purposes, and a little bit of information for each one:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a cosmetic procedure used to replace a missing tooth that also gives it they look and feel of a natural Tooth. Dental implants are a long-term replacement for your teeth and serve more than just cosmetic purposes. Dental implants actually strengthen your jaw bone and prevent your other teeth from shifting.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a very versatile cosmetic procedure that can be used in many situations. dental bonding involves the application of a individually colored resin material that matches your tooth color. It can be used to repair a chipped tooth, cracked tooth, and even close spaces between teeth. It can be used as an alternative to amalgam fillings as well. This means that dental bonding is used in more than just cosmetic procedures as well.

Invisalign and Braces

Invisalign is the most popular alternative to traditional braces because they utilize a clear aligning tray that is nearly invisible to the eye. Both Invisalign and braces are used to straighten your smile and give you a healthy bite and attractive smile. Although Invisalign is more attractive, and generally easier than traditional braces, there is still no option that beats the effectiveness of traditional wire braces.

Veneers and Teeth Whitening

Dental veneers are custom-made shells that are placed over the top of your existing teeth. This can give them a different look, feel, shape, and even color! However, if all you want to do is change the color of your teeth, in-office teeth whitening may be the best option for you.
